Learning Hip Hop Moves

In a posting last year, I said that I was interested in joining regular Hip Hop dance class. Been looking for course with reasonable price, I finally joined the one in Sports & Recreation Centre near my flat (just across the street, very nice right?!). It's $80 for 12 sessions, quite cheap compare to usual dance schools that charge around $10-$15 per session! There are about 20 people joining this term with me, from young teenagers until late 20s, which slowly disappearing one by one :P (tonight only 10 people coming). Classroom is very nice, better than in any dance schools I have seen. It is very big, all covered with mirror and woody floor. The teacher is not bad. Even though he still cannot blend much with participants and cannot make the class more alive, but his Hip Hop skill is unquestionable. The duration is 1 hour, once a week every Tuesday night. For me, it's good for exercise and getting away from problems in real life for a while. Cause every time I dance, I so feel young and free again. Or like Usher said: feel like a zombie gone back to life :D

Except learning a little bit popping, sliding, freestyle, body wave and other basic Hip Hop things, in the first 5 classes we danced into a Korean Hip Hop song with strong beats. Then since last week we've started a new song that's quite slow: Mad by Ne-Yo. It's getting more difficult and it made me frustrating in the beginning, but I will practice more often! Here a short video of the dance.

Wanna try? ;)

Jeju Island in 3 Days

Jeju Island, the Hawaii of Korea, where couples usually go for honeymoon, and the place of many UNESCO Nature Heritage sites, is really beautiful and romantic. Some people say we need to spend at least 1 week to explore and experience the most of this island, but in my opinion 3 days are enough. Trust me, many places in Jeju only look good in advertisement, they're good at selling it. There are no interesting places in the North and West part of Jeju Island, so you can focus on East and South. East and South parts are amazingly naturally beautiful! Here's the itinerary I recommend.

Day-1: East of Jeju Island

Manjanggul / Manjang Cave
Spending time: 30-45 minutes
Hallasan, located in the middle of Jeju Island is the only volcanic mountain in Korea. It created several small volcanic mountains throughout Jeju Island, called Oreum in Korean. One of the biggest Oreum is Geomun Oreum, famous with its large lava tube system and designated as a UNESCO Natural Heritage site. It has few l…

Transportation in Jeju Island

These are some remarks regarding public transportation in Jeju.
Buses in Jeju Island accept Seoul's t-money card. You can buy and top-up it in convenience store, like GS25 and Family Mart.City buses normally charge 1000won for cash, or 950won for t-money card. If you pay by card, tap it to the machine when you aboard and when you alight. If you transit between 2 buses during a certain times, fee for the next bus can be 0won, or free.Intercity buses vary depends on the distance, usually between 1000-3000won. There's no different fee paying with cash or card. When you aboard the bus, tell the driver about your destination, he will tell you how much it is, and you have to pay there directly. If you pay by card, no need to tap it again when you get off. There are 2 bus terminals in Seogwipo city. The main bus terminal is in the south-east of downtown, near the Jeongbang Waterfall, which is also the old one. The second one is to the right of the E-mart in front of the World Cup Stad…

Review: Homestay Cahaya Sikunir Dieng
